Overall, this hotel offers a lovely mountain retreat with breathtaking views and a great range of family activities. The room we stayed in was comfortable, but not exceptional. The staff was competent, though I found them less engaging than expected given the hotel's reputation. The location is fantastic for skiers, providing easy access to the slopes, but be prepared for the resort fees that can add up quickly.

Rooms
7.0
Our room was clean and quiet, though it provided an okay view overlooking the backside of the resort. It was well-appointed but felt a bit basic for the price.
Service

While the staff was professional and competent, they didn't go out of their way to be engaging or friendly, which was a bit disappointing.
Location
9.0
The location is nestled in the mountains and offers convenient access to skiing, which is a huge plus. However, it’s quite a drive from the nearest airport.
Dining

The dining experience was a highlight, especially the meal prepared by Chef Brandon, which was exceptional despite my dietary restrictions. However, dining options were limited and you need to book in advance to secure a table.
Facilities

Our stay at the Ritz Carlton in Tahoe was incredible, highlighted by the exceptional staff who truly went above and beyond to make our visit special. The location was stunning, nestled in the mountains and perfect for skiing, but some aspects of the service fell short of expectations. Overall, it was a memorable experience, and we left wanting to return despite a few minor concerns with housekeeping.

While the staff were generally friendly and accommodating, we encountered some delays with housekeeping and missed services like turndown, which was surprising given the hotel's reputation.

This Ritz Carlton is located high in the mountains, making it extremely convenient for skiing and offering breathtaking views, but it feels quite remote from other attractions.

The hotel offers a beautiful location tucked away in the mountains, making it convenient for skiing with stunning views. The staff was exceptionally warm and helpful, providing excellent service throughout our stay. However, the dining experience left much to be desired, as we found the food expensive and not up to par. Additionally, the rooms, while comfortable, could use some modernization to match the luxury vibes of the property.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were spacious and included a lovely mountain view, but they felt a bit basic and could use an update for a luxury feel.
Service
9.0
The service was impressive from start to finish, with staff anticipating our needs and providing a high level of attention, although the Living Room could use more staff.
Location
10.0
The property is beautifully situated in a forested mountain area, providing peace and an incredible backdrop for outdoor activities.
Dining

The dining options were quite pricey and the quality of breakfast did not meet our expectations with limited variety and taste.

The hotel's facilities, including the pools and fitness center, were well-maintained and added to our overall enjoyment of the stay.

This hotel is truly a gem in the mountains, perfect for both summer and winter getaways. The rooms offer stunning views and the service is exceptional, with staff who go above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay. Family-oriented activities make it a fun place for kids and the dining options are top-notch. However, the location may require a bit of travel for other local activities, and some may find the cost of certain services quite high.

Perched high in the mountains, the hotel is beautifully secluded, providing an easy ski-in/ski-out experience. However, reaching nearby attractions and the lake takes some driving.

7.2/10

The hotel offers a beautiful location with stunning views and a range of family activities, making it a hit for those with kids. The rooms are spacious and comfy, but the service is inconsistent, which detracted from the overall experience. Dining options are varied but can be on the pricier side. While the hotel's amenities are impressive, the high cost may not justify the stay for everyone.

Rooms
8.0
I found the rooms to be spacious and well-appointed, featuring a king bed, a separate sitting area, and fireplaces, which really added to the cozy ambiance.
Service
5.0
I experienced some inconsistencies with the service; while some staff were accommodating, there were long waits for drinks and occasional cleanliness issues.
Location
9.0
The location is fantastic for skiing, right on the slopes, and surrounded by breathtaking mountain views, though it felt a bit isolated for other activities.
Dining
7.0
Dining at the hotel was hit or miss; while the quality of food was good, the prices were steep, and some meals didn't meet expectations.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities are top-notch with a lovely spa and beautiful grounds, but the cleanliness in some common areas could use improvement.
